Tamarin Hotel, Mauritius, closes for refurbishment

Veranda’s Tamarin Hotel on Tamarin Bay in Mauritius has closed to undergo an extensive six-month renovation, opening again in October 2018.

Originally built in 1970, the hotel renovation is set to preserve the historical soul of the hotel, but also to renew it with a fresh, authentic and trendy look, appealing to young guests who seek to immerse themselves in the local community.

The hotel will be open to locals and guests alike, to encourage cultural integration and offer a community space for all.

At the re-launch in October, the hotel will be known as Veranda Tamarin Hotel & Spa, and will offer an additional 50 new rooms, refurbished existing rooms, bringing the total to 116 rooms.

A new feature will be a Seven Colours Spa to extend a wellness offering, and a rooftop pool and bar with panoramic views over Tamarin Bay.
