Capital Delhi will soon have a 15-point Winter Action Plan to curb the pollution and smog in the metro in the upcoming winter months. Environment Minister Gopal Rai and other Delhi Government officials met with members and engineers of the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to chart the measures that should be taken in advance for checking pollution.
Speaking about the meeting, Delhi’s Environment Minister Gopal Rai tweeted, “Meeting with DPCC engineers regarding winter action plan. DPCC will work on key points like dust pollution, industrial pollution, green war room- green app, smog tower, real time appraisal study as well as instructions to constitute teams for implementation.”
Delhi is gearing up for the festive season and the winter following it. The city generally faces the bulk of pollution issues in the months following September. Winter haze and smog creates breathing issues for many netizens in the city.
