Departure of ship caused oil pollution two months ago in Aqaba

Ammon News - The Commissioner for Tourism and Environment at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Dr. Nidal Majali, announced the departure of the ship "Fluor of the Sea" from the port of Aqaba.

Majali confirmed that the company that owns the ship has committed to paying an amount of one million dinars to the Aqaba court, based on what was attributed to it of the oil leakage that polluted waters and areas of the coast of Aqaba two months ago.

The Environment Commission has worked to remove the remnants of the environmental damage that resulted from the pollution incident, and has also fulfilled all legal procedures against the culprit.
