BI Group hosting start-up competition to mark Astana’s 20th anniversary

ASTANA – BI Group, one of Kazakhstan’s leading construction and real estate companies, is hosting the Happy Start-Up competition to mark the capital’s 20th anniversary. The best projects will be recognized by the company with cash prizes and ten finalists will have the chance to attend courses at BI University. Applications are due by April 16.

“Our university was founded in 2012 with a mission to provide training for our employees. This year, we celebrate its sixth anniversary. We started to invite our partners and contractors to our programmes two years ago. Today, we are ready to share our knowledge and resources with all interested parties,” said university head Olga Baspayeva at the March 14 presentation.

The university offers approximately 20 qualification programmes for builders, project managers and owners of small and medium-sized businesses and organises trainings and master classes conducted by well-known coaches. Participants also share experiences and establish contacts with potential partners.

The company’s management focuses special attention on integrating science, education and innovation and establishing a creative environment that maximises the ability of each individual.

Development department head Aibar Mukanov also spoke about BI Group’s projects and activities.

“The company built 1.1 million square metres of housing, 1,500 km of roads and 9,000 premises, including residential and commercial real estate. A total of 61 projects have been implemented,” he said.

BI Group includes five companies which construct highways, railways, residential complexes, commercial premises, infrastructure and industrial facilities.

“We did a colossal job to improve the quality of construction in the housing sector. All the buildings meet all the requirements of comfort assessment,” he noted.

The company is developing the area near the botanical garden, a project which will benefit the city’s ecological environment. Visitors and residents will have year-round access to the garden.

“The Green Quarter multifunctional complex built on the green technologies and smart home principles is one of our most significant projects. We monitor the quality level, installation work and subsequent maintenance of facilities in the construction projects. The construction is subject to constant technical supervision. After commissioning the residential complex, the warranty period of the facility will be 36 months,” he added.

The company plans to launch the 51st housing blocks including 13 completely new projects.

“We try to create maximum comfort for living. We additionally build leisure rooms and each resident will have the opportunity to spend time with friends. The company intends to expand nationwide. There are plans to launch seven housing blocks in Almaty. In addition, we will start constructing the first residential complex in Atyrau,” said Mukanov.

More than 32,000 families have purchased BI Group houses. The company is set to increase this number, providing comfortable conditions for real estate purchases in the capital
